Join us for an intimate evening with Akademi’s visionary founder and celebrated Mohiniattam artist, Tara Rajkumar OAM, who visits London from Australia to attend Akademi’s 40th anniversary celebrations.

She will be interviewed by Professor Ann David from Roehampton University in a special evening at The Bhavan. Tara will talk about the challenges and benefits of creating new classical work outside of India, her experience of founding Akademi and her journey from the UK to Australia. She will also be joined by her disciple, Bindu Rajendren, who will perform Tara’s recently created choreography.
